| What are AGATE SLABS? They are a particularly visually appealing stone from Brazil, which we use for a central focal point for unique stained glass pieces. Designed with a free formed background that we choose to match with that particular stone. We study each agate to figure out what shape and style will best accent the stone. No two pieces are the same, since each stone has unique markings and individually designed borders. I have broken down the common styles that we use, but we do plenty of free form and mosaic pieces as well. Due to our busy show schedule and the unique nature of each stone, I can not keep this page updated with what we have in stock. The piece you receive will be slightly different than the one pictured, but it will be done in the same style and color. | Ocean Jasper - a special stone we love using in our work. It has marvelous greens and pinks with natural ring mottle designs. It pairs well with our glass colors and styles. This stone is only found off the coast of Madagascar, in the ocean. We use flat medallion and cabochon style pieces that are about as thick as our glass. It has become more difficult to find good pieces of ocean jasper, so please check for availability. |
